General Introduction to Alaskan Malamute
Alaskan Malamute is a breed of working group. This dog breed originated in Alaska, United States. This Malamute breed is found in upper western Alaska. These dogs have an important role in humans life, they are the companions of humans and they help humans in working and hunting. The dogs were also used for pulling heavy loads in groups.
Physical Appearance of Alaskan Malamute
The natural standard size of this dog breed is around 23-25 inches and the weight of the breed is around 34-40 kg. Dog’s weight can be less that 34kg or more than 40 kg depending on their size. The head of Malamute is broad but in proportion with the size, the shoulders are sloping and muscled, the rare legs are also muscular. The breed is having a thick coat and the size of coat is medium, the length of the coat is increased near shoulders and neck, the dogs also have a shorter and less dense coat during summer season. This breed look at its best in natural look just the trimming on feet is done to give it a clean and tidy look.

Colors of Alaskan Malamute
The Alaskan malamute is one of the dog breeds that are unaltered; it remains in the original form and colors. The dog is found in gray, sable, black and red colors always mixed with white color. All white is the only solid color found in this breed.
History of Alaskan Malamute
This breed of dog was used for basically load carrying works. Alaskan Malamute pulled supplies to villages and thus served humans. Due to this they are considered to be one of the breeds with a well-known history. In 1896, this breed was considered as one of the most valuable one and due to this, it was widely sold and purchased.
Nature of Alaskan Malamute
Alaskan Malamute is a friendly breed. The breed is very sensitive by heart. If the owner does not cooperate with the dog, the dog also refuses to obey commands of the owner. Alaskan Malamute tends to behave poorly with smaller animals. Owners of Malamute base this fact on observation. The experience along with time will show if malamutes can be left unwatched at home along with other pets. Majority of malamute are quiet by nature.
