General Introduction to American Eskimo
An American Eskimo Dog is a breed of companion dog. It is also used as a watchdog. This dog breed is one of the very popular breeds in the world. Life span of this breed is 10-15 years but if dog is given properly feed, vet care and daily exercise the lifespan increases upto 20 years.

History of American Eskimo
American Eskimo Dogs Originated in USA. In the early 1990’s the dog breed achieved popularity in USA as a circus performer. After its popularity the puppies were sold around the world.
Physical Appearance of American Eskimo
The average height of American Eskimo dog is around 16-21 inches and the weight is about 18-35lb. The breed is having a thick white colored coat; the coat is ruff and double around the neck. The ears are erect and alert. This dog breed is found in three standard sizes. First one is toy, its height is 9-13 inches, and then comes miniature its height is 12-16 inches and then comes the third standard height is 16-21 inches.
Colors of American Eskimo
This dog breed is available in white and biscuit cream colors. The eyes are brown and some times red also. Some breeds have dense and long coat, which must be brushed one, a week or more if necessary. The coat sheds but it can be maintained with regular brushing.
Misc. of American Eskimo
The American Eskimo develops sever allergies to fleas, many of the American Eskimo breeds heavily shed their coat. The American Eskimo is also known with the following names American Spitz and American Deutscher Spitz.
