Breed Description
The Chihuahuas is existed before 5th century A.D. There are many speculations regarding its origin. Mexico, America and Europe are the places under speculations.
Physical Characteristics
The Chihuahuas is only a small toy breed with well rounded and apple shaped head. This breed has large and round expressive eyes with dark or ruby color. Ears are spaced and are large and erect. The Chihuahuas is also known as Chi (s).This breed has life span of 14-18 years. In this breed both male and female are of same height (15-23 cm) and weight (2.5 kg). The Chihuahuas is belongs to Toy group with small toy sized appearance. The color of this breed may be any solid, marked or splashed color. This breed has long or short with moderate shed. The body of this breed is compact but robustic with well sprung ribs .The Chihuahuas is not outside dog.
Nature of Breed
The Chihuahuas is charming little intelligent breed. This breed is very devoted to one or two members of the family. This breed give and take affection from the owner. The creative and curious nature of this breed attracts everyone. This breed should not left alone in outdoors, because of their size they may become prey to other wildlife. The Chihuahuas is alert, observant, bold and saucy. This breed is easy going and independent in nature. The Chihuahuas is valued for courage and loyalty. This breed should keep away from younger children, because they are easily injured. The Chihuahuas is easily go with other dogs. Hence this breed is very gentle and sweet.
