Chow Chows Dog Breed Information
Breed Description
The Chow Chows is one oldest species of dog which was originated from northern steppes of Mongolia, Siberia and China. The DNA of this breed shows an ancient line, which indicates that these were the first ones which were domesticated from wild wolves. During ancient times this breed is used for pulling sleds, hunting and guarding temples.

Physical Characteristics
The chow Chows is the only breed with distinct blue-black tongue. The head of a breed is rather broad with perked, rounded ears and a wide rounded muzzle.The Chow has massive amount of fur that seems to encase its body. The coat of this breed is smooth with different colors like solid red, cinnamon and cream, black or blue, it can also be found in tan, gray and sometimes even white. The lifespan of this breed ranges between 12 to 15 years. In this breed both the male and female are of same height (46-56 cm) and weight (20-32 kg).The female breed give birth to 5 pups per litter. The Chow Chows appears to be large sized with long hair and heavy shedding. The Chow Chows have capacity to withstand tremendous cold weather conditions.
Nature of Breed
The Chow Chow is good to apartment life style and also better to a small yard .This breed is not consistent in nature. The Chow Chows is excellent family pet which loves children very much. This breed is very aggressive to strangers and unknown animals. The Chow Chows is independent in nature, so it does not requires any personal care. The Chow Chows is not only used as working dogs, but also used for meat and for their fur. For this reason this breed is not considered to be pets.
The Chow Chows are good working dogs.
