The Dalmatians is originated from Dalmatia, which is part of Croatia. This breed also has evidence that it was discovered in Egypt as well. The Dalmatians is used more often as guard dogs and carriage dogs in 1800’s.

The Dalmatians is fairly strong and medium sized in appearance. The life span of this breed ranges between 11-16 years. This breed is belongs to Non-sporting Group. The Dalmatians is also known as Fire Engine Dog. This is the only breed has characteristic spots on its coat. The Dalmatians mostly appears in white color with brown, black or lighter lemon color spots. The male breed weighs up to 32 kg with the height up to 68 cm. The female breed weighs (20-29kg) with height (48-60 cm). The female breed gives birth to 7 to 9 puppies. The Dalmatians has short hair with moderate shade. This breed cannot withstand extreme hot or cold weather, because it has short coat. This breed is good kennel dog.
