Breed Description
The Spaniel breed of Dogs is said to be found in 1300. In 1800 the spaniels were divided into seven separate breeds as the English Springer, Welsh Springer, Clumber, Sussex, Irish Water,Field and Cocker. The spaniel breed which weighs less than 11 kg is The English Cocker Spaniel. This breed was created mainly for bird hunting. This breed is one of the most popular companion dogs in England.

Physical Characteristics
The English Cocker spaniel is a sturdy dog with softly contoured angles. This breed is also known as Cocker Spaniel, Cocker and Merry Cocker. The life span of Cocker is 12-15 years. The male breed weighs (12-15 kg) with the height (38-43 cm).The female weighs (11-14 kg) with the height (35-40 cm).The female Cocker gives birth to 1-4 puppies. This breed is belonging to Gun Dog and Spaniel Group. The Cocker spaniel appears in various colors like white, white with black, liver, or red. White Cocker spaniel is Favorable for many hunters. This breed has Medium or Short length of hair with moderate Shade. The Cocker Spaniel is a good to be an indoor Dog, if it is given proper exercise.
