Field Spaniels Dog Breed Information

Breed Description:
These dogs are medium sized, heavier and longer than cocker spaniel. These dogs are usually show dogs because these dogs have rich coat. Their coat can never be curly. The coat can be liver or all black colored. Their muzzle is regular sized and have large nose. Their eyes are like almonds shape. Face is thin and attractive, which make these dogs important for show. Generally ears are low and eyes are black in color which adds beauty to their face. Their body is long and low. These dogs are natural sporting dogs. Their life span ranges from 10-12 years and litter size ranges from 4-8 puppies. The groups to which they belong are gun dog or AKC sporting group. the color in which these dogs are available are solid liver, solid black , tan markings, speckled, white/black, blue roan, liver/white, red roan, tricolor, blue /tan, red roan/tan and solid tan. Hair length is medium. These are large sized dogs. Field spaniel male and female are of same height i.e. 46 cm. field spaniel male and female weight are also same i.e. 16-22.5kg.According to their build these dogs are best suited for house with large yard these dogs feel un- comfortable in apartment home. A fenced area is best for them to live. Their other names are field orbramast glenmorhan.

These dogs are of English origin. Considered as good bird dog. Field spaniel has good tracking, hunting and retrieving qualities. This dog act as good watch dog.

These dogs have independent nature. These dogs are smart, playful and intelligent. Field spaniels like roaming around. It is necessary to watch them in new situations carefully. These dogs are very sensitive to voice so they can be trained easily. These are devoted towards only one person of the family. These dogs are very loyal and trusty.
