Breed Description:
These dogs look like fox and considered as fox in the past years. There lips and nose are black in color. These dogs are medium sized dogs. There chest is deep that reach their elbow. These dogs at puppy stage darker then the adult dog. These dogs are excellent choice for the small games and hunting. These dogs are happy in outdoor and always want outdoor environment. These dogs get bored easily. They always need some activities that can be done by them. Their life span ranges from 12-15 years and litter size ranges from 5-8 puppies. The groups to which they belong are Northern, AKC or non-sporting group. The color in which these dogs are available are red/gold, red, gold, white markings. Hair length is medium. These are medium sized dogs. Finnish Spitz male and female are of same height i.e. 38-51cm. Finnish Spitz male and female weight ranges from 14 to 16kg.these dogs need exercise daily. Love to live in outdoors. These dogs are good companion for jogging and running. These dogs are best suited for cooler climate.

Breed History:
These dogs are recognized by AKC in 1987. But these dogs are in origin from 2000 years ago. In England first Finnish Spitz was bought in 1927. These dogs are good family pets. According to the historians the first Finnish Spitz were inbred during 1880s. Finnish Spitz is a handsome dog.

These dogs are natural hard workers. These dogs remain always active. These dogs react like a fox in manner and action. These dogs are always good with children’s as well as older adults. These dogs are wonderful pet for all type of families.
