Breed Description:
Golden retrievers also known by these names Goldie, goldens and yellow lab. Golden retrievers are divided into two groups. This division is based upon their appearance the first group named as English, these are shorter in size, bigger boned and have long coat of light color the another group is named as American group tends to have similar characteristics from which they are originated. They have a broad head with wide muzzle. Their eyes are brown in color and have black colored nose .Life span ranges from 10-13 years. Life span is same for both male and female. They have litter size of 8 puppies. The groups to which these dogs belong are sporting dogs. The color in which generally these dogs are available light cream, yellow, darker golden, copper shade. They have long hairs. Their size is large. Height of typical Golden retrievers male ranges from 23-24inch and height of typical Golden Retrievers female ranges from 21.5-22.5 inch. Weight of normal Golden Retrievers male ranges from 65-75 pounds and weight of typical Great Pyrenees female ranges from 55-65 pounds. These dogs can live in all conditions. A good fenced yard is provided for them. These dogs like playing and exercising.

From history it was found that lord tweed mouth developed them. He wants to produce a dog that was skillful in hunting. This dog was originated in 1800’s. First time the dog presented at dog show in 1920’s.

Golden Retrievers is a family dog. Golden Retrievers is a gentle and intelligent dog. These dogs are not good at there puppy stage with children’s. Golden Retrievers dog is not fit for guard dog. Golden Retrievers dog is fun loving dog. This dog is well suited for all conditions.
