The origin of the Greyhound is belonging to the early middle age, when traders brought Sloughi dogs to England from Arabia. This breed is used for hunting of smaller animals such as fox and also trained to catch up full-grown deer. This breed becomes popular in Great Britain only after achieving particular fame in 19th century.

This breed is belonging to Hound and Sporting Group. The male breed weighs (29-32 kg) with the height of (71-76 cm). The female breed weighs (27-29kg) with the height of (68-71cm). The female breed gives birth to 6-9 puppies. The Greyhounds is also known as English Greyhound. This large sized breed has short hair with moderate shade. The color of this breed is brown, white, black tan, grey and any combination of those colors in large spots. This breed is surprisingly adapted to apartment life.

The Greyhounds is the most gentle and calm dog with family or strangers. This breed is quite intelligent, which able to pick up training rather quickly. This breed is always very good with people, though not always friendly in the traditional sense of the word. The Greyhounds is usually quite good with other dogs, because this breed is trained in racing industry. The breed is surprisingly good with children and greyhounds can tolerate a great deal of toughness from older children without problem. In a household situation this breed is terrible guard dogs since they’re simply too relaxed to care much what humans are doing
