These are small sized dogs. They have toy type appearance. These dogs have a life span of 12-15 years and litter size of 2-5 puppies. They are found in many colors such as wheaten, red, black, tan and grizzle. The hairs are of medium length. Its height is up to 10 inches. Its weight is up to 12 pounds.
This breed is suited for apartments with or without yard. It was developed as a working dog but now days it is used as pet in homes. It has a wiry coat which actually consists of two layers. It has folded ears and brown eyes which gives an intelligent look. It has face like fox. It has well developed legs. It has a cropped tail, noticeable whiskers and eyebrows. It has feathering on front legs. It loves to please its master and this breed is perfect for small houses.

Breed History
This breed was bred for hunting rats and vermin. It is also very vigilant and plucky just like Norwich terrier. It was developed in Britain in early 1800s. It got its name Norfolk Terriers because it was developed in the Norfolk area of Great Britain. It was used as a fox bolting dog and was trained to catch the fox from the caves and dens.

These are small dogs, perfect for small houses. They were developed to hunt rats and vermin. It is intelligent pet for houses. They love to be with the owner. They are somewhat aggressive. They have a perky and fearless outlook. They are good companion dogs also good to children.
