Pomeranians Dog Breed Information
Breed Description:
These are toy sized pets having basically white color. It has a life span of 12-16 years and litter size of 1-2 puppies. Pomeranians are perfectly suited to indoor living. They are one of the smallest dogs in the world. They have an alert expression and looks like a small fox. The ears are very small and placed high on the head. They cannot survive in extreme hot and cold climate. They are very sensitive, loyal, and intelligent companion dogs. This is a good show dog. Once trained, they will be a standout in the show ring, because they truly enjoy the limelight and love to be watched. Its weight is generally less than three pounds.

Breed History:
Pomeranian is a descendant of the ancient Spitz breeds of the far north. There origin is from Iceland and Lapland. This breed was brought to Europe from the Prussian region of Pomerania to herd the sheep. Pomeranians are talented at agility and many types of tricks. Edison spent about twenty years on research on Pomeranian.
Nature of Breed:
These are extremely intelligent and extroverted. They like lots of interaction with their owners. They are very good companion for the single people. They are easy to transport due to their small size. They have a willful and dominant personality. They are fond of wandering along with their owner. They feel bad if they are left alone for long hours in the home so they are not good for the family who spend whole day out of the home. They are always alert and also very energetic.
