Breed Description:
The Rottweiler is the dog with strong, muscular and powerful body. They have a life span of 10-12 years and the litter size of 4-10 puppies. They have an extra large body structure having Black base color with tan/rust or mahogany markings. A house with a fenced yard or acreage is recommended as the living area for the Rottweilers. Their eyes are almond shaped warm and dark brown in color. They have a powerful and muscular neck without any loose skin, sloping parallel with the back. The chest is broad and deep, reaching to elbow, with well pronounced fore chest. They have a pink tongue and black color inside the mouth. They have straight feet and long legs and the ears are in triangular shape.

Breed History:
This breed has first originated from Rottweil, Germany. There is also a belief that they are the descendants of drover dogs which were used by the Roman Empire. They were used by the Romans to guard their camps and to herd the cattle.They are best for herding and guarding due to the loyalty and strength.Due to this the butchers used them to guard the shop and meat and cattle drivers used them for herding their cattles and providing safety to them. They also protect their owners from the robbers.
Nature of Breed:
It is a very loyal,alert and loving breed. They are calm and very active pets. They learn very quickly and have a high pain tolerance quality. They do everything to please his master. They have no need of training as they are very quick to learn.
