The Sealyham Terriers is developed by Captain John Edwards in 1848 in wales. This breed got its name from Sealy Ham, Haverford west, Wales. This breed is created mainly for hunting vermin and fox.

The Sealyham terrier is small dog with more strength and power. This breed has small dark but very bright eyes andhas thick brows and whiskers that give the face a powerful look. The life span of this breed ranges between 12 to 15 years. This breed is also known as Sealy. The male Sealyham Terrier weighs 10-11 kg with the height of 23-28 cm, while females weighs 8.5 -10 kg with the height of 23-28 cm .The female breed give birth to 3 puppies. This breed is belonging to Terrier Group and AKC Terrier Group. This breed has long hair with lite shed. The color of this breed appears in white, lemon and yellowish white. The Sealyham terrier is best suited as an indoor pet.

Nature of Breed:
The Sealyham terrier is a strong and willful breed. This breed is aggressive in nature. This breed should be given good training to obey the commands of their master. The Sealyham terrier is dominant and very stubborn in nature. This breed does not make a good kennel dog that is left caged. This breed creates unusual noise, when they do not want to do something. For this reason it is not used as pet dogs by many owners. The Sealyham terrier is so well adapted at hunting. The animal will fight back if it feels it is being threatened.
