Shiba-Inus Dog Breed Information
Breed Description:
The Shiba-Inus is the smallest of the six distinct breeds that were bred from the original dogs. The original breed was ChowChow. This breed is originated in China, but it taken to Japan before 2000 years ago. In this Breed there are three main varieties and each was named after their region of origin. This breed is more in number in Japan than any other breed.

Physical Characteristics:
The Shiba-Inus is a small, compact and very agile breed. This breed is also known as Japanese Shiba Inu and Shiba .The life span of this breed is between 12 to 15 years. This breed is belongs to Northern and AKC Non-Sporting group. This breed is medium sized with short hair and heavy shed. The male Shiba weighs (9-13kg) with the height of (35-40 cm) while female breed weighs (9-13 kg) with the height of (33-38 cm). The female breed gives birth to 3 puppies. This breed appears in variety of colors red with a little black overlay or black with tan markings being the most common. This breed can live happily in both hot and cold climates.
Nature of Breed:
This breed is very brave for its size and does well in different circumstances. The Shiba is very alert and intelligent dog. This breed is independent in nature, which cause grief to owner during training. This breed is not a good for living outside because it loves to live inside. The Shiba is good with children in the home and make good companion for the whole family. The Shiba is agile, fast and playful. This breed is trained early to increase the socialization to be a good family dog.
