The Silky Terrier is the breed created by crossing Yorkshire Terriers with Australian Terriers. This breed is said to be originated in Australia. This breed is good Family pet.

Physical Characteristics:
The Silky Terrier is a good energetic dog. This breed is also known as Australian Silky Terrier and Sydney Silky with the life span of 14 to 16 years. This breed is belonging to Toy and Terrier group with small size in appearance. The male Silky Terrier weighs (4-5 kg) with the height of (23-25 cm). The female also weighs same but slightly lower in height (20-23 cm). The female breed gives birth to 4 puppies averagely. This breed appears in colors like Blue/Tan, with silver highlights on the fur near the eyes. The Silky Terrier has long hair with light shade. The Silky Terrier is good in living indoors in smaller urban or suburban areas.

The Silky Terrier is highly intelligent, highly willful, and highly energetic dog. The Silky Terrier is the breed can be something of a handful if its owners don’t know what they’re doing. This breed should be socialized properly in early stage, which helps to prevent it from some sorts of issues like unusual barking, biting, or even get into worse. By effective training this breed can use as watchdog and also for a positive interactions with children.
