Breed Description: - Welsh Springer spaniel was first time discovered some time before 1300 AD. The Welsh is a rare breed of spaniel. These dogs are very important elements in both water and food chain because they are good hunters. They are strong but medium built dogs basically has crimson and whitish coat of hairs which may be curly or flat. These dogs have great survival instinct and can live in various environments and places. Also they are used for hunting. They are smaller than English Springer and relatively bigger than English cocker spaniel.

Physical description:-
Springer spaniel is a strong, medium-built dog. Shape of head is circular and Ears are long and covered with fur. Eyes can be red or black. Welsh Springer spaniel is characterized as an extremely durable dog, and it can stay active for a long time without showing fatigue in all types of environmental conditions or landscapes. The color of body is crimson and white.

Breed History:-
It was discovered in some time before 1300 AD. It was previously recognized as cocking spaniel. Later these were divided in to two categories namely water spaniels and land spaniels. The Welsh and English Springer spaniels transformed into independent dogs prior to the 20th century.

Nature of Breed:
The Welsh and English Springer spaniels are very intelligent and can easily trained. They are also very durable and affectionate in nature. They love the company of humans and its tail shows signs of intense wagging when it spots a game. They are the great playmates for children’s and also trained to participate in family activities.
