We are looking for a new pet for our soon to be 20 year old daughter who lost her beloved dog 2 year ago. She has had her heart set on a greyhound ever since she found a racing foundation to give greyhounds retirement homes but since I found the Whippet, I feel it might be a better size for our smaller house but with same qualities and looks as the greyhound. Would love any information you could provide me with to perhaps give her her heart desire. She is a very quiet, withdrawn girl who desperately loves animals and I think would find a new best friend. She loves the brindles in color. Thank you for your help and any information you could provide me with.

Whippets are lovely, wonderful dogs…the best kept secret in the dog world. I had one for OVER 15 years. I was hoping he would make it to 16 or 17, but he did have a long and blessed life. He finally had to be euthanized because of heart failure and a spleen tumor. I love whippets. I would have another one in a heartbeat if I could.
