History of American Eskimo
American Eskimo Dogs Originated in USA. In the early 1990’s the dog breed achieved popularity in USA as a circus performer. After its popularity the puppies were sold around the world.

Physical Appearance of American Eskimo
The average height of American Eskimo dog is around 16-21 inches and the weight is about 18-35lb. The breed is having a thick white colored coat; the coat is ruff and double around the neck. The ears are erect and alert. This dog breed is found in three standard sizes. First one is toy, its height is 9-13 inches, and then comes miniature its height is 12-16 inches and then comes the third standard height is 16-21 inches.

Colors of American Eskimo
This dog breed is available in white and biscuit cream colors. The eyes are brown and some times red also. Some breeds have dense and long coat, which must be brushed one, a week or more if necessary. The coat sheds but it can be maintained with regular brushing.

The American Eskimo develops sever allergies to fleas, many of the American Eskimo breeds heavily shed their coat. The American Eskimo is also known with the following names American Spitz and American Deutscher Spitz.

Physical Appearance of Alaskan Malamute
The natural standard size of this dog breed is around 23-25 inches and the weight of the breed is around 34-40 kg. Dog’s weight can be less that 34kg or more than 40 kg depending on their size. The head of Malamute is broad but in proportion with the size, the shoulders are sloping and muscled, the rare legs are also muscular. The breed is having a thick coat and the size of coat is medium, the length of the coat is increased near shoulders and neck, the dogs also have a shorter and less dense coat during summer season. This breed look at its best in natural look just the trimming on feet is done to give it a clean and tidy look.

Colors of Alaskan Malamute
The Alaskan malamute is one of the dog breeds that are unaltered; it remains in the original form and colors. The dog is found in gray, sable, black and red colors always mixed with white color. All white is the only solid color found in this breed.

This breed of dog was used for basically load carrying works. Alaskan Malamute pulled supplies to villages and thus served humans. Akita dogs are aristocratic, this breed is elegant and powerful they are also aggressive towards other dogs. Males weight around 34-55kg and females weigh around 34-50kg. Size of males is around 28 inches and bitches size is 26 inches. The neck is thick and muscular. The tail is large full and curled. Ears are curved and triangular.

In older times Akita dogs were used for hunting by matagis, due to their large size. At that times they were called Matagi Inu. Their size was not as large as the breed is having today. These dogs were used to guard kids and were also used in place of babysitters. They were also used for killing bears but usually they were used as guards. At the time of World War 2 a postage stamps at Japan were launched on this dog breed.

This Akita breed is recommended for guarding houses. The dog is not suitable for apartments due to the body temperature and size of this breed. These dogs are quite in nature. Afghan Hound Physical Appearance
The head of Afghan Hound is of good length. Ears are long it starts near the eyes and goes till the neck ends. Eyes are dark in colors and are of triangular shape. Nose is black in colors and of big size. Neck is long and strong. These dogs are sight bound; they hunt by sight rather by the scent. Talking about the size males are longer than females size of male is 26-28″ and females are about 24-26″. Thick hairy coat is covering the entire body. Fur is more on the ears and feet and less at the dog’s underbelly. Tale is curved at the end. Weight of the dog is nearly 60 pounds. Despite of the Afghan Hound elegant look it is categorised as a haunting breed category.

This breed of dogs originated in Afghanistan. The Afghan Hounds are unique in themselves. These dogs were used to hunt gazelles, wolves and foxes in earlier times.

Affenpinscher Physical Appearance
The Affenpinscher is having a square head like appearance and the female dog is slightly longer than the male. Preferred length is about 9 1/2″ - 11.2″. Their expression is monkey like. If the mouth is closed the teeth and tongue are not seen. Neck is very short. Tail may me natural or docked; it is slightly up when the dog is in moving. Ears are may be natural or cut to a point. The Hair are strong, rough, harsh and are about 1 inch in length. on the ears the hair are very short. The breed of dog is having a shaggy appearance.

The natural colors are black (black may be a rusty or some white or silver hair missed), black and tan, gray, silver, red (red may vary from brownish to orange) and belge (mixture of red, black, brown and white hair).

History of Affenpinscher
This breed is originated in Germany where it is named Affenpinscher, which means “monkey like terrier”. And in France the breed is called “Diablotin Moustachu” which means moustached little devil.

Nature of Affenpinscher
The dog Affenpinscher dog breed is alert and very much loyal to his master and friends. It gains love and affection from all. Generally the breed seems to be quite but it is very much threatening and cruel when attacked, as it is fearless breed.
